By accepting the appointment, you agree to be bound by the terms & conditions of Brads Window Cleaning.

 

Payment Terms:

You are required to pay upon completion of first cleans, and one off cleans. Therefore someone will need to be home for the clean. Regular cleaning payments are to be made by direct debit or cash.

 

Weather:

Our pure water systems work in nearly all weathers, therefore weather conditions are not an acceptable reason for postponing our services. We offer an all year round regular service. We will clean your property in all weather conditions including rain and very low temperatures. High winds and deep snow do affect our services & schedule.

 

Ingress & Egress:

Should we be unable to access any part of your property due to locked gates we will clean the accessible areas such as the front & sides and charge accordingly. If we've only cleaned your front windows due to a locked gate you can book a rear window clean on our customer service page.

If we deem it safe to do so our operators will from time to time, gain access to your property by unlocking your access gate. If you do not wish us to do this please complete the contact form on the customer service page so we can keep your preference on our records.

 

Client Responsibilities

 

Clear Access:
You must ensure all windows are closed and clear of obstructions like furniture, garden pots, or locked gates before the cleaner arrives. 

 

Courtesy:

If we have sent a text to arrange a clean, you will need to let us know if it isn’t convenient on the day suggested. If we drive to your house only to find that we cannot clean, you may be charged a fee to compensate  our time and travel expenses. We are usually flexible and can reschedule the clean for another day, but this needs to be communicated the evening before we come. 

 

Site Safety:
Do not ask cleaners to perform unsafe practices, such as using ladders in unsafe ways or climbing on roofs. 

 

Dog Mess:
Ensure any dog mess is removed from the area.

 

Policies & Liabilities

 

Unsafe/Inaccessible windows:

Cleaners may refuse to clean windows that are deemed unsafe or inaccessible. Due to previous insurance claims we no longer bring our equipment through the main part of customers houses but we can go through garages. If your house has no other means of rear access other than going through the living area of the house we do offer a front windows only service.

 

Property Defects:
Our window cleaners do not accept liability for damage caused by decorative or structural defects at your property, such as, but not limited to, ill fitting windows, doors, fascias, guttering, window/conservatory trims, unsecured windows and doors, leaking seals, loose stuck on lead, decorative bars stuck on glass, rotting frames, flaking paint, open/broken or loose trickle vents, etc.

Our window cleaners accept no liability for decorative bars coming loose or falling from the exterior of the glass. If these bars are correctly installed our brushes will not damage them in any way. If they do become loose or fall off it's because the adhesive is not bonding correctly with the glass. This is because over time the double sided tape used to stick the bars to your glass loses its adhesion.

 

Scratched window sills:

Over time your upvc window frames will start to oxidise and slowly lose their colour. Your windows sills will be the most effected. When we are cleaning your windows our brush head which is made from soft plastic with nylon bristles may remove some of the oxidation. This may look like scratches but in fact it's just where the grey oxidation has been removed. We will not be held responsible for returning your windows back to "as new" condition. 

 

Scratched vehicles: 

If you feel that we have scratched your car, video evidence will need to be provided. 

 

Scratched glass:

The brushes we use are specifically designed for window cleaning and are made of a soft plastic head stock with nylon bristles. There is nothing on the brush which can scratch your glass. There are no metal parts on the brush. If you feel that we have caused damage to your glass, we will bring over a brush and ask if you can scratch the glass again with it. If you succeed we will pay to replace the glass.

 

               

First Clean expectations:

At Brad’s Window Cleaning, we use professional, ultra soft brushes and 100% purified water, specifically designed to clean glass without causing scratches or leaving water marks. However, if your windows have oxidised frames or are extremely dirty, it may not be possible to achieve a perfect finish on the very first clean, using the soft wash method. Because our brushes are gentle, stubborn marks on uPVC and oxidation stains on the glass may require two or even three regular cleans before reaching their best condition. In some cases, certain marks may never fully come off. We kindly ask for your understanding and reasonable expectations, as we always aim to deliver the highest possible standard of cleaning while protecting your windows. We will not respond to being asked to dry the windows after the clean as this is unnecessary with purified water. 

 

Gutters/Fascias:

We are able to clear upvc gutters only. Not concrete gutters. We can clear out and dispose of moss, leaves and grass/weeds. We won’t be able to clear out pigeon waste. Downpipes sometimes get blocked a little further down the pipe. In this case a gutter repairman will need to be called as we cannot access further down the pipe, but only near the top. As we do not use ladders we cannot repair gutter leaks or loose gutter fittings. If your gutter has loose fittings and these fall off during a gutter or fascia wash, our cleaners will not be held liable. If they fall off because of gentle brushing then they were not properly secured to begin with. In this case a gutter repairman will be required. 

 

Pricing variation:

Please note that the first clean    

prices on the leaflet are applicable where the windows are in a reasonable condition and are easily accessible. If they haven’t been cleaned in a very long time, the price may need to be adjusted.  This will always be discussed and agreed upon, before the clean commences. Other extra charges are also to be discussed before cleaning commences. This may occur when there are difficult velux windows, windows that are much larger than usual and windows who’s access is made difficult by obstruction caused by structures such as gazebos, conservatories, 

garages or extensions, or windows that are much larger than usual. 

 

Right To Refuse Work:

Brads Window Cleaning reserve the right to refuse certain work/jobs. This is usually due to parking difficulties, or safety and security risks.
